Hornady got back to me today with some load data with the 208gr A-Max and RL22.
They said 72.4gr is their max load with an OAL of 3.34" so there is definitely some more velocity potential here. I'm 1.4gr below the max and moving the bullet forward .27" should open up some case capacity.
I might try a bit heavier load to see if the rifle likes it, what velocity I get, and how the brass holds up but I'm pretty happy with my current load. We'll see.
I'm also getting a nice accurized 700 in .30-06 this week so I'll be able to compare them heads up fairly soon.
