They have been talking about the coming winter surge, but where are all the extra beds that should have been added the last 6 months. Did we declare WWII and stop building ships? The hospitals I'm aware of asked nurses to consider working shifts in the ICU to help with COVID, but where were all the programs to bring in supplemental nurses? The money my be Federal, but the plan and execution of that would be a local issue.
Instead we were told to told to wear masks. Those surgical masks are what, rated for 20 min? Non-ICU docs still are using the same N95s for a week. We are 9 months into this and it seems that everyone hung their hats on the vaccines. I don't get it, Trillions of dollars and I really don't see anything that different than March. I'm not anti mask, I'm just against people basically wearing underwear on their heads- I agree that PPE could be a game changer, but you need at least an N95 per person, per week. Frankly a billion masks a week isn't unreasonable.
Sure lockdowns are always the answer.
Is COVID a scam? It sure does seem like it if you look at the actual actions taken by those in power. Mask mandates that they flaunt. No real change in medical resources. And where is the PPE?
When will this end? If you pay attention to resource allocation, I'd say soon because they aren't actually doing anything. IF you look at the power based on dolling out trillions of dollars and telling us we don't have the Constitutional right to not wear a mask in public, forever.
I say don't treat any politicians until they get their crap together.
