NIB Glock 19 Gen 4 finish exactly like 19X - who’s doing this?
LGS has a Glock 19 Gen 4 NIB on display side-by-side with 19X, and the finish/appearance for both pistol looks identical. FDE frame, tan slide.
I researched some before posting this here, but a lot has changed in two years and thus available information has changed. So I must ask:
Are these Gen 4 Glock 19 slides being finished in Tan by Glock? Or by someone else? Dealer states “pistol is factory flat dark earth and tan.” Ok.
My past understanding was that Glock “only produces black frames,” and that the tan slides are done by Lipsey’s at the request of the distributor. But I may be incorrect altogether, or not, I dunno.
While an all-FDE G19 would be great, I’d prefer to avoid paying a NIB price for a pistol that was stripped down/cerakoted/reassembled by someone/anyone other than Glock before the end customer received it.
Thanking you in advance for any current information...
