I need to do some touch up Alumahydeing, after installing my truglow tfo s.
Can I bake them for 3 hours at 195? I don’t think it should be a problem, but I’m unsure.
Thanks

Worst case; FO will melt. Tritium sights; the plastic ring/insert surrounding Tritium vial will melt.
I would test with a spare piece of FO Rod before baking sights.
buy some fiber optic rods on amazon and stick a small piece on a tray in the oven and test it.
For less than 10 bucks this seems a prudent test.

I think I’m just gonna touch it up, and wait for a two week cure, I don’t really have the cash to spare for much right now.
Thanks
Double post
double post too???
FWIW, some plastic fiber optic cable (PMMA) will start to melt at 158 degrees, whereas others won't melt before 340 degrees. The stuff used in sights is pretty soft, I wouldn't risk it based on what I just read.
