Pictures do seem to stir up discussion. Here is a pic of the latest vintage AR I built. It is a clone of a late 1967-1970 M16A1. I am still waiting on receivers to complete my 1971 M16A1 clone.

Haha, yes you caught me reusing material. I wish there were more complete guns there, but I do like the picture, makes me feel accomplished somehow. The top gun is a factory Colt but the other three of them are guns I built myself,

Those are nice. I like the lightness of an A1style rifle a lot but I've got a stripped A2 upper that may get turned into an A2 rifle at some point.

I picked up this Colt AR-15, used, way back in 1981-82 (?) with an original Colt 3x20 scope. It's a model marked SP1, serial # range of SP128XXX, marked Colt's Firearms Division. Still looks like it's hardly been handled...
