Really a nice gun. I think you're getting the hang of this gunsmithing stuff. ;)
Have you tested the BLR for repeatibility taking the barrel off/on?

Thanks for the complement.
As to the repeatability not yet on the gun if the pics.
I've always wondered when someone was going to do this with a BLR. The ability to shoot .308 is just too attractive to pass up.
I passed up on one in 243 a few yrs ago for a steal and still regret it.
How durable are these guns?
that's a beautiful rifle. how does that stock compare to the one with the pistol grip, as far a comfort goes? i was looking at the different models and wondered which of the two styles i'd pick, if i were to get one.
I like it. I have never had a lever gun but I want to play with a couple or three and a BLR is on my list. I also want a 358 Winchester and the BLR is one of the few, maybe only production rifles offered in 358 so I can kill two birds with one stone. I am skeptical of the detachable barrel feature. How is the barrel retained? Is it sturdy? Durable? Does it hold the barrel tightly? Is the receiver aluminum? I think all the BLRs have aluminum receivers.
BLR receivers are aluminum, the barrel is on a cam lock with a lever, it is sturdy, and tight as can be.

The BLR is offered in impressive array of calibers, from 223 to 450 Marlin and including 358 and 300 magnum. A lot of these guns are under 7 pounds. I imagine they kick pretty impressively. I don't suppose a 300 magnum lever gun is something you will shoot thousands of shots through. How does the 308 kick? What's it weigh? How did you attach the optic?
Interesting, you don't see a LR every day. Every time you post one of your lever guns I get thiiiiiis close to having you build me one. Once I finay decide on a caliber and get the funds together I'm going to do it.
Is the Aimpoint finished to match the receiver? If so what finish did you use?
