I Checked out the perst 3 and i think it may be the way to go. The specs on it seem to be on par or better with the peq 15 laser and the Illuminator has way more power. Being able to adjust the power level of both on the tape switch should be sweet.
Is the MAWL civilian version better than the PEQ15 Full power RE: illuminators?

ABSOLUTELY especially in a CQB roll or in a structure. As mentioned its like turning a white light on in a dark room. Very even and smooth IR fill if you choose. What many seem to overlook about the MAWL is the switchology. No goofy bullshit wires or pressure pads to try and figure out where to locate. You have basically 5 on the fly at your finger tips (actually thumb) IR Laser/Illuminator settings and 1 long range IR laser only setting. The depth of the IR illumination acts just like Surefire in that it sees through or past or into if that makes sense.Quote:

That pressure pad switch on the Perst looks all kind of bad for my personal liking. I dont have the rail space nor do I want to change my grip to go from IR to white light. This along with the overall performance is where the MAWL wins.
