Obviously the weak-link in M1 Carbine function. What 30rd mags are recommended?
USGI 30rd mags weren't parkerized were they? Weren't they that shiny black, almost like a bluing?

(South Korean) KCI branded M1 Carbine magazines are the best option, besides USGI magazines.
KCI was the ROK Mil contractor for M1 Carbine magazines during the 1960s-1980s.
ROK Mil used M1 Carbines up until 1980s. They then put them in reserves and are still being stored (North invades hand out M1 Carbines to everyone).
JG sales sells KCI mags.
Numrich sells USGI mags.
The KCI are in much better condition and work perfectly. The only reason to buy USGI is for authenticity on a safe queen in my opinion.
