M600V and Modlite Heads

Will the 600V body take modlite heads? I just want to make sure the IR model isn't a one-off.

No - The M600V runs only CR123's and it will not take a Modlite head. Additionally, a Modlite head can not use CR123's. Surefire Dual Fuel bodies work with Modlite and Surefire DF heads work with Modlite bodies, etc - but it's because they can both use 18650/18350s.
