Sounds good. I don't watch that type of thing as I'm already paranoid enough and that stuff just undermines my already low view of humans and humanity and the lengths they will go to.

Completely forgot about the Zodiac. But yeah thinking about it now that you mentioned it I can see why LA/California would be an attraction to those types. Pretty weird time back then. They didn't have the technology like we do now so I imagine there were some other serial killers running around during that time that just slipped through the cracks.
The flip side of that is that it could aid in recognizing what is going on before it goes too far and/or as a heads up to potential intended victims. Ramirez and others have been stopped once the general public got involved.
I kind of wonder about how often the information(I am not including direct influences such as Ramirez's cousin in this) about past nut jobs causing new nut jobs is legit anyway.
Right off the bat, there were nut jobs well before there was really any kind of info sharing. The Harpe brothers who met their end in KY in 1799 sure hadn't watched any tv or movies to get ideas. Also, there are likely untold numbers of people through the centuries who's killers didn't get notoriety like the Harpe's did so there are no dots to connect.
Even when captured, a nut job who didn't get caught early on in their nut job career usually didn't pull that off by being stupid or being incapable of reading people. Couple that with a fair percentage of police or mental health folks having egos or wanting wealth via notoriety where simply saying "the hell if I know why they did it" isn't going to be an option and the odds of a garbage in/garbage out scenario start climbing rapidly.
