I have a couple of older stripped Colt Lowers which use the larger pin lower parts (fire control, etc.). Most websites offer only the newer small pin parts kits. What's the solution for finding these from a regular supplier, or do people do some kind of adapter kit?
Geissele and others have large pin SSA and upgraded triggers.

Thanks, this is a Winter project I am undertaking. I have an stripped small pivot pin Govt. Carbine lower and stripped A2 upper that I will turn into a civilian version of the Colt 727, utilizing an M4 barrel. I looked at the link to the Geissele trigger group and it is pricey at $300. I may have to take a closer look. None of my AR's have never had anything but factory trigger groups in them. But I am not a competition precision shooter.Quote:

Looks like Geissele charges more for their large pin trigger, but I have bought plenty of their small pin triggers at close to that price. The SSA is a two stage trigger that feels like a light precision Garand trigger and as someone else posted have ruined me for any other triggers. I have multiple SSA, SSA-E, SDC, SDC-E, and a SD3G trigger and have had no issues except expensive triggers in tens of thousands of rounds over the past decade or more.Quote:
