Hey guys I just picked up a Remington 700 sps threaded barrel. I would like to glass bed and or pillar bed it. Any of you guys have any experience with this and have any suggestions as far as what is exactly needed materials. I noticed Brownells has a kit but I've heard devcon is the best material to use. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Can I ask...
* Have you shot the rifle yet to test for accuracy? (A lot of factory rifles these days, including my last Remmy SPS in .308, are sub-MOA out of the box).
* How do you plan to use it, for instance, is there any chance you will upgrade it to get a chassis? (If so, I wouldn't bother with the expense of bedding, a good chassis these days makes that unnecessary in most cases).
Mostly a hunting rifle with target shooting here and there. Plan to add a suppressor eventually with subsonic rounds
