Avon ballistic helmets, any experience?

I am trying to research this helmet a bit, does anyone have any first hand information or experience?

The new UHMPWE armor is pretty neat stuff. Lighter and buoyant.

No actual experience with that helmet but I have ceradyne plates that where .mil issue. As a manufacturer I would say they are probably GTG as they have held .mil contracts in the past.

A friend from the Corps bought that exact model from Botach and it was a total Bait & Switch!
The helmet in pic/link is NOT what he received and since they make all Armor sales "Final" they refused to let him return it even though it was wrong, and never worn. Huge hassle!

Took contacting Avon themselves to intervene and force Botach to refund him in full due to false advertising. I'd be VERY careful with that one my man!

Since they're all handgun rated only (mostly) I chose to save a few hundred and put it towards a Wilcox Shroud and Mount. This is what I went with and have been extremely pleased with its comfort and the BOA style suspension system is tits!
