Does anyone have experience with the AP OEM pistol?
Do you pistol mean uppers? I have built two pistols using AP upper and lower with Ballistic Advantage barrels. 5.56 and 300BO. Another AP receiver set pistol build with an Alexander Arms barrel 6.5 Grendel. I haven't seen any complete pistols from AP.

For a DI gun in 556 I wouldn't go lower than 11.5
The recoil is tamer, cycles smoother so less wear and barrel erosion.
300 blackout is the way to go for shorter than 11.5

I may hold off and just grab a BCM upper later given that I share the concern about a 10.5 barrel.
Thats why BCM doesn't offer any barrels in 556 under 11.5Quote:
