You chose the biggest, heaviest Aimpoint you could!
Personally I would opt for the Aimpoint PRO and use the extra funds to procure the aforementioned LaRue Po'Boy.
I have a Hensoldt, and it is very nice.

+1 on the PRO...excellent value with comparable performance. I have one in a LaRue LT-129 Canteliever mount. I could not be happier with it.
I have the Vortex VMX3 magnifier and can honestly say its great, it has great glass witch is very clear, eye relief could be better but is not bad, centering the dot in the magnifier is easy and it has a focusing ring. I run mine behind a Eotech 512, it makes the reticle very sharp. The rubber armor is a little thick but can be trimmed to clear your BUIS if it's a MBUS (no problems clearing my Troy Battle sights). As long as the Vortex magnifier is available I'll never shell out 500+ for the Eotech or Aimpoint magnifier. I don't think anyone that uses the Vortex would disagree with what I'm saying. It's good quality no doubt.
+3 on the Aimpoint Pro, great RDS for a good value. I also run this with the VMX3 in a Larue flip mount on my BCM. I run the Eotech w/VMX3 on my M&P 15T.
