This model is lacking one very important thing. Illumination. There is a Leupold 1-6 coming out soon with good daylight visible illumination but it will cost twice as much.

Have you used the VX-6? If so, how does the eye box compare to the TR24?

I've owned a few 1-4's, by far and away I've found the TR24 to be the best. I liked it better than my Short dot...1/3 the price - 1/4 the price now that S&B jacked their prices...6oz lighter, better eye box and less fish eye on 1x.

The 2.5mil subtensions on the SPR reticle are pretty coarse, but atleast the turrets match. For $50 more I'd rather have it over the VX-6 with the duplex.

Agreed no bdc for me

Outside of issued guns with issued ammunition BDCs are overrated. I'd much rather finer subtentions and I'll work the math.

The SPR reticle would be...(55gr at 3160 FPS, 2.715" scope height)
