Will the legacy model fit in an ultra holster and can I call to get a holster that is already ordered changed for the Ultra?

Botach is most annoying company to deal with. I ordered a jacket from them only to get a notice that I'd receive it in 6 weeks. Getting a refund for my money turned into a total nightmare dealing with people on the phone.
Aside from that, I am looking at getting this light. Does any one NOT recommend the weapon mounted version on a long rifle? Would that be an ill advised idea?
Got mine in. Fits in a Safariland 6360 designed for the original X300 fine, but form fitted holsters (like most kydex) will probably need to be changed. The Ultra does get noticeably warm very quickly (within 15 seconds).

Wow that is some nice light output out there. Gonna have to order one :p thx for the pics.
I've got mine in today and I've tried it both my 6283 and the SLS on my SWAT rig and it fit both.
Because the new LED requires a new TIR optic. Larger LED, larger optic.
It would be possible to put the new LED, which is 99.99% likely to be the Cree XM-L, inside the existing X300. However, the beam would be very floody and not focused or optimized for any kind of range beyond a living room.
I have an Oveready triple XP-G P60 dropin in a Surefire 6P, it's the same optic and LED configuration as that X300. Yes, it's bright. Is the beam focused for any kind of work at medium ranges? No. It's a short-range setup, the flashlight equivalent of a sawn-off 12 gauge.
I have a 200 lumen sure fire, and after using it inside against white walls, I discovered 200 lumens is too much. It whitewashes and then I find I have partially blinded myself and temporarily messed up my night vision. They are excellent outdoors, but inside it is too much.
Does the ultra sit low enough to work in the 12 o'clock position on a M4?
