If you're gonna buy one anyway, it might as well be now.
The prices aren't going down, regardless of the election.

Anybody that thinks our gun rights are safe with Romney or that he is going to "fix" the economy is sadly misguided IMHO.
I'm not suggesting voting for him but B.O. and a strong Republican Congress would be a safer bet when it comes to guns not to mention it all but guarantees a solid 2016 ticket with Rand Paul and maybe someone like Allen West as his running mate to go against Hillary, now she scares me.
In the closet gun grabber vs. whistle dick gun grabber. Shit Sandwich vs Turd Taco.......blah blah blah politics is a wasteland.
So much for this thread :) :suicide:
Wow. First, this isn't a politics thread, BUT.... to even utter that gun rights are safer under BO than Romney, or, let's face it, practically any other person on the planet, is in my opinion, buffoonery.
How quickly we forget the past, even recent past. Take a look at the DC vs Heller case. How close was that to us losing the 2nd amendment? I would venture to say that if that same case were re-heard today, even with the same Justices.. it would go 5-4 AGAINST the 2nd amendment.
Now considering the opportunity BO may have with another term to appoint, and I'll be conservative here, even ONE Justice to the high court.. we are talking cake-walk to essentially nullify the 2nd amendment and our country as we know it.
And that's just the guns.. I won't even go into the plethora of other catastophies that BO could create with another 4 years... it makes my heart hurt :)
On topic... OP, as was said.. Prices are not going to get any cheaper, or at least anything significantly cheaper, that would justify waiting 6 months IMO.. but, prices could very very easily go waaaay up.
The question you have ask is can you afford it? If buying an AR is going to put you and your family on the street.. then of course don't buy it now. If buying an AR now simply forces you to spend a bit less on other non-essentials for a few months, then yes, I would buy one asap if I were you.
As others have said, If Grant at www.gandrtactical.com has some AR's in-stock, you really can't go wrong buying from him.
1) Do you have what you consider a minimum hardware set?
2) Will you by something in the next 12-18m anyways?
If the answer to 1) is no OR the answer to 2) is yes. Then you should buy immediately.
If not might as well by ammo and training or wait.
I'd say buy now, and agree it's not getting cheaper. I know I am buying another upper and parts just in case. Along with that, ammo tax might get insane so always good to grab extra when possible.
If you have the funds, buy what you will be happy with now. Prices are stll very rasonable and chances are that they will go up in the coming months regardless of who is elected in November. I am currently building #'s 5 and 6 as well as buying a few extra lowers also.
