Dispute the charge. You are not in possession of the gun. Dealer won't refund funds. You don't know how long it will be with Colt. You are the only one being hassled. Make them share the pain.
I have the unfortunate habit of seeing these minor annoyances from a big picture perspecive and tire of folks who think we should accept whatever shoddy product manufacturers and distributors put out because, "it's only cosmetic". Well, if we don't make them deliver a quality product, whether cosmetic, mechanical, or whatever, they won't. They will only rise to the standard and if it keeps dropping and the public expects increasingly less, then it is no wonder Glocks won't eject, S&W 9s won't shoot accurately, etc. Consumers either allow mediocrity or demand quality. The manufacturers respond in kind. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and demand it gets put right.
