I have a DD set up and I have been very happy with it. I am sure you will be happy too. In my experience DD puts out a good product.
From what I've seen Centurion barrels may be a little more accurate, and they have slightly different specs.
However their increased durability may or may not be theory, as I've never seen a direct comparison between a Centurion/Noveske type barrel, and a standard USGI type.
Another potential option is PKfirearms.com. I can't speak to their service, because I have never used them, but they have FN hammer forged barrels with FSBs in several barrel lengths and gas systems (including midlength 16").
Stated specs are typical FN: hammer forged, thick chrome lined, etc ... priced comparable to Daniel Defense. Would just need to add the barrel nut/delta ring assembly and gas tube and they don't include the front site post, spring, detent... though they do appear to sell them also.
Ok, was directed to aim surplus and primary arms . Aim had a DD barrel with fsb that I had a chance to snag for 239 shipped. Then primary arms had a complete assembly, fsb, sight post, gas tube delta ring, barrel nut etc for just a tad over $300.
So I went through them to avoid the hassle of finding high quality (ie colt, DD, Noveske, BCM) type delta ring kit, plus the other assorted parts. Thanks for everyone's help. Barrel should be here next week. Finally get this build off the ground.
