I'm in NW Ga and would be willing to commute to a point if there was a group.
The folks at Precision Applications periodically run carbine classes. I'll vouch for Shep's precision rifle classes and am looking forward to his intermediate carbine class in May. Rogers also offers carbine training alongside pistol.
As for Atlanta-area shooting groups, these are typically done on a club-by-club basis. Atlanta is woefully underserved when it comes to shooting facilities.
