Yeah. I really like a gun that will run .223 ammo for practice too.
There's really no excuse for an AR upper to not run both .223 and 5.56 reliably.

I have never had a single FTF/FTE from my LMT 10.5" regardless of what ammo I've put through it (Mil-Spec 62gr./55gr. 5.56mm, Prvi Partisan, Barnual, Wolf, Black Hills Seconds, Monarch, etc...)
I have an upgraded extractor spring and 9mm buffer.
Try the H2 buffer like others have mentioned, but try the $5 extractor upgrade first. Also, use a generous amount of lubrication. Anything would do.
I use the simple POS inferior CLP stuff. :o
Oh and check your mags too. I use regular "combat-loss" GI mags with Magpul followres & HK416 mags.
