I think your mom is right. However, if I come across mags at a reasonable price I will buy them. Just wish I could score some 5.56 in my area. None to be had where I have looked.

Not to hijack this thread, but I thought I'd let my fellow firearm fans know that Botach tactical has surefire 60 round mags available for $100 delivered. You can only order 1 though. Carry on.
Do you think there's any left? I don't trust Botach too much.
I decided to try the DGS backorder route.
Ordered 4 ODG PNags will update if anything comes of it.
I can not believe that right before all this happened I was in the process of ordering reloading supplies, GI mags and basically just all the little extra stuff I needed. I even had a couple of times where I was placing an order and had to delete due to work emails or phone calls that I had to get squared away.
You snooze you loose that's for sure. No points for good intentions.
I would hope that is what manufacturers are doing, at break neck speed given the fact that high cap mags are most likely to get banned out of everything else on the table.
I have more than enough mags (PMags, Tango Down, NHMTG & BCM D&H mags) to last me a few life times. But just out of curiosity because folks said they couldn't find mags and some friends were in full panic mode, I backordered from Lancer at normal prices on 23 Dec, and got a shipping notification from UPS the other day. Short of being fatally boned by folks flipping essential AR parts, back ordering is probably the only alternative to paying normal prices from honorable manufacturers. I could flip them on GB and triple my money, but I'll probably just sell them to friends for what I paid for them.
The "availability" link didn't work on my PC here at work... so I just rolled the dice on one.
I have a 60 now, and I like the thing.
What the hell does that mean? No urgency that a 30 rnd ban will happen or no urgency to meet demand? Or both? Something else?
No urgency because they are confident shelves will be resupplied in short order and prices will be back to PON ( Post Obama Normal ). While I would love to believe that, I have little confidence in it actually happening.
Damn... somebody tell them to get in touch with their inner urgent.
No urgency to get product completed.
I've picked up on that vibe in another thread too.
