New 6720, dust cover not installed properly
I just received a factory new Colt 6720 from a dealer and immediatly noticed a problem. I charged the rifle and the dust cover didn't kick open like it should have. Upon closer inspection the ejection port cover pin wasn't completely installed all the way. To be honest the pin looked slightly bent. After getting the pin lined up with the hole properly I was able to pry on the pin and had to use a hammer to get it in all the way... After getting that done I found that the ejection port cover spring wasn't twisted properly and hadn't been installed right either. These are all minor fixes that took 15-20 but this is a BRAND NEW COLT! I've never had problems with any new LMTs or S&Ws I've owned. Anyone else had an issue like this? I love working on rifles as much as the next guy but I shouldn't be having to work on a new gun right out of the box like this. I must admit I'm a little disappointed this being my first Colt.
