What's the general consensus on these?
Link to TOS, explanation of what happened to them. http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.ht...&f=17&t=536153
They are back in business. Phone numbers listed at the home page.
There was a huge group buy on ARFCOM, the Teflon coated mags weren't as good as promised. They signed a contract with a new coating facility and the mags came out like shit. They closed down for awhile. They had some QC issues for awhile but they put out some very solid magazines. FWIW they fixed the problem and now they are GTG. Not affiliated in any way.
Their inventory doesn't appear to be in real time.
I'm thinking that the frenzy is starting to die down now that Obama came out with his EO's.
An actual AWB or mag ban is not likely to make it through the House.
Just wait, by March or April, mags and other parts will be easier to find.
Prices will likely have leveled out by then as well.
Ive ordered from here, no probs, just takes awhile to get. They are located less than 20 miles from the C-Products factory.
All the mags like these Ive ever used for a few years now have been EXCELLENT. YMMV.
I prefer D&H but mu older C-products worked fine.
I have a few of these. They have been great. My buddies we also issued these for their deployments and they said they worked flawless with no issues.
I've been told that they are now marketing under the name 'ASC' (the mags in the ads looked exactly like CProducts as regards mag body ribs, feelips shape and follower shape and color).
They were a little more expensive, but made no mention of a long delay, so I'm hoping for no surprises. I only ordered two, having a pretty decent mag stash already.
Past experience for a buddy and I with identical Colt carbines has been entirely positive with the CProducts 9mm mags.
Let me reiterate that one more time; my experience has been with the steel bodied 9mm mags, both 20 & 32 round CProducts.

I have a heavily used set of 6 older (crica 2007), steel C Products mags. The finish scratches easily but the mags are still working great. I cant comment on the quality of the more recent mags
I am lucky enough to live in NY so I took a chance and ordered some 10 rounders in all the calibers I need. Let's hope they function.
Shit, I'm already second guessing myself.

I bought some today through a link on another site. I never had problems with the old C Prod mags, though I know some did. At $15 for a stainless mag with anti-tilt follower, I'll risk a few.
Was able to look at some new-production 10-rounders last week with the same follower, and they looked nice. Was not able to run any through their paces though.
We got around a hundred about 2-3 years ago, and we're down to probably around half the original number. The steel bodies that we got have been having serious issues with feed-lip separation, inducing double feeds. For a frame of reference, the GI mags we had before we got the CProducts, are still running just fine.
Kindly appreciate the tip! At $14.45 per, I will roll the dice on 10 magazines.
Just ordered 2. I really want the new 10rd PMag to come out already. Although I'm sure they'll go very quick.
I've got enough mags but picked up 10 of the 30rnd aluminum and one 10rnd to be on the safe side. I can always sell them later if I don't like them.
.
Which ones are everyone buying? I'm not seeing any of the numbers in stock changing.
Sure, the media's going to try to play it up..I'm thinking people are slowly starting to see through it..After all, probably twice that number died this week in stinky's hometown, Chicago..and it's business as usual..But, if you want some more mags..I'd order them now, while you can...
I read another thread about this company on TOS. There are still doubts by some on TOS about this outfit. Midway lists these but says none till 2-27. TOS did have some members report deliveries in Dec. 2012 to be OK. Also, the site is not updating in real time so that might be a problem. I have decided to err on the side of caution and wait and see. YMMV
This has already been discussed in: The Official Where Can I Get It Thread?
From what I saw from their booth at SHOT, they bought CProducts and started making new mags in aluminum and steel. They claimed their welds are stronger and have their own anti-tilt followers.
Just bought 10 Aluminum with Orange followers. For $13.95 a piece, I will take the chance. I have enough P-Mags and Aluminum mags, but never enough, especially with two brand new SBR's and 3rd stamp on the way:D
I'm not that hard up to try a C-Products mag again.
They should have changed the name to "B-Products" and maybe I would have tried one ;)
If production will be as good as their first batches were years ago, like the two dozen SS 30rd mags I'm still using from ~2006(?), this will be good.
Nothing wrong with the existing known-goods, but there's nothing wrong with another GTG option either.
Let's see what develops.
I'll give 'em go ordered 5, only 5. We'll see if this dog hunts as well as the last one..
Ordered a few 10 rounders. Thanks OP!
Well so stainless or aluminum? It seems most prefer aluminum over steel mags from what I have read here.
Does anyone here use these C Products 9mm mags in their Colt 6450. I'm going to order a few of these and would really like to know if they will function correctly. I tried some 32rd 9mm PRO-MAGS and they aren't worth a damn.
I've got 8-10 of the black ones. Orange followers about 2-3 years old? Work fine.
My take on mags like these that some people have issue with. I use them for training and separate them from any SD/HD load. If I have a problem during trading it helps teach a FTE or ftf response. .02
The only form of credit card payment they accept is American Express?
I'm about to purchase some and the only option from the credit card tab is American Express.
Am I missing something here?
I have about dozen 30-round CProd blackened stainless mags that I bought about three years ago for $10/mag. They have a blaze orange follower that looks similar to MagPul anti-tilt followers. Although I am uncertain with the idea of using them in a fight, I have had no problems with them just as practice mags. Hopefully these new mags will be of at least equal quality to the older ones.
