I googled them the other day and saw no bad reviews, just a few people sketched by their PayPal rules but nobody saying anything negative. $180 is a decent price for NiB BCG if the quality is good.
I haven't seen any reviews period. from what I gathered they are little less than a month old. I think I might pass.
Guys, I have an issue that surprised me. I'll advise what happens on RRO customer service shortly.
It appears that their website has a glitch that says that your order has been cancelled when in fact it has not. Charles Clifton, the owner of RRO got back to my email immediately after hours on Friday. So they are addressing the issue. Hopefully I'll have the BCG's for myself and my 18yo stepsons first build.
Any info on them? Is this a good BCG?
It's starting to get really sketchy at this point. Claims of product being shipped but they cannot produce a pic of a nib bcg. If they don't get in gear telling people one way or the other buy tomorrow. They are gonna have a couple hundred thousand bucks being demanded refunded.
Hmmm. Does seem really odd. They have pictures of them packaging bolts on FB.
Definitely want to see what people think when these BCGs start arriving in customer hands.
I dont know if all of you on this thread have facebook but look at the debacle after asking for pics. That company has over $1,000,000 of peoples money tied up with nothing to show for it. I didnt know this until this morning but they have sold uppers and lowers as well as these all on preorder.
Ouch....:help:
I believe this is where the BBB would come into play. Get a legitimate complaint before filing and then going to the police.
So upon closer examination of one of my BCG's that was about ready to ship. There isnt even a damn bolt in the thing.

Here's where I saw it: http://www.reddit.com/r/ar15/comment...gry_customers/
Also, if the OP is looking for a quality BCG (e.g. BCM), they can be had. No need to settle for this shit.Quote:

+ 1 to what mark said. The more I order the more I would rather pay a bit more for company with good customer service.
The website is pretty sketchy, but if the whole thing is a scam it is pretty involved. Keep us updated on the outcome of the debacle.
Well it's Tuesday no pic people with low order numbers posting on Facebook with no ship notification. Yet my "1 bolt carrier" was ready And shipping just as I had canceled my order. Again if you have money in this contact PayPal and credit card company ASAP!
How many times has BCM pulled any of this? Hell, not even PSA does this... Not even botach.
One more company that will never get my money.
That's interesting. I think you are correct.
In order to "purchase", wouldn't the buyer have to actually sell you something?
These guys aren't far from me and even at my most desperate (3 builds needing BCGs), I couldn't see sending them my money. Hopefully it works out for everyone. Sounds like the best thing to do may be to post three negative posts in their forum and get banned and refunded, lol.
Well since they don't have much going on in the shop and likely aren't manufacturing anything except for USPS small flat rat boxes. The owner probably isn't to concerned yet.
Any other news my refund has come through. So at least people can start asking for refunds and since PayPal can't do disputes just email them at admin@redrockord.com
For those of you thinking about waiting there are a couple reasons I wouldn't.
First I think at this point we all know nothing has been produced yet or else they would have posted proof.
Second by the time everyone jumps on the refund wagon funds. Redrockord
Might start to dry up. I can't imagine how much of the money the parts, machines, buildings and labor will cost. So I imagine they don't have all the money for everyone. I think it's a get your money now or you might be SOL in a few weeks.
Third I bet there is a chance of legal stuff headed there way and that could tie up there cash.
Forth after all this I don't really trust this bcg is gonna be the likes of a dd or bcm quality. They will be rushing like hell if and when they actually start making them.
So my advice is to get out now. I will do my best to scout and hunt and help everyone find bcg's. those Psa ones I posted yesterday were the same price as these. Bcm still posts a batch once a week. There are lots of good options out there. It is late January things have calmed down.
That is my thoughts on these. I hope people see the light and get out while you can.
Thanks for all the support on my battle the last few days.

I was surfing on TOS the other night. They are having the same problems.
here is the email from charles
Production and Delivery Update
Delayed but catching up.
I wanted to start off by saying thank you for trusting in us and being VERY patient over the last weeks.
We started 8 months ago as a 2.5 man shop making a limited number of parts for a few select customers. Our plan was to make our extra production available to the public in January long before the craziness started. Honestly, when we did, we were wholly unprepared for what resulted. The demand took off on us faster than we could control. That was my fault.
Since that time we have invested heavily in equipment, staff, materials and shops. We now operate 3 separate shops from Austin to Houston and have people working 24 hours a day.
However, we hit a few snags in the last few weeks. Without trying to cast blame or name names; we were hit very hard about 2 weeks ago by a shady supplier and another manufacturer. In short, we had a bulk order with a supplier of gas rings, this order (prepaid) was scheduled to land the last week of March. When it did not, we called them and were told “oh sorry, we sold all those parts to another company who offered us more”. After a bit of back and forth, the truth became apparent. Another recognized supplier of BCGs found out that we were getting our rings from this supplier, and made a deal with him to pull our supply from under us – hoping to jam us up.
We scrambled to find a replacement supply and when we could not, we contracted a EDM/Stamping company here in Texas to tool up and produce them for us. This was a costly and stressful undertaking. We were assured that we would have the first 3500 rings delivered to us last week. That has been delayed because of a delay in getting the die made (they had to outsource the die when they couldn't make it in-house).
We sincerely hoped that this emergency solution would have come through in time but it did not. My mistake was not posting this right away online and in email. For that I am deeply sorry.
Moving forward, this outside interference has forced us to control all aspects of the process. Now, every parts of our product (except the raw metal) is now made by or for us under contract here in Texas!
To address some of the other concerns, we had enough gas rings in hand last week to get about 100 units shipped (orders 01-005 to 01-032 and 011 through 087). We started getting delivery confirmation back from them today – I hope a few of them will post online/Facebook that they got their order. As of this moment, all of our parts are sitting in a room at our Houston shop waiting for gas rings. I am in Austin and simply have not been able to break away for a day to go down and take some photos. I have asked our shop foreman there to do so and email them to me. As soon as they come in, I will post them on our Facebook page.
We are at the mercy of the firm stamping our gas rings at this moment. The die is being made as we speak and will be FedEx’d to them when done, at that point it will only take a few hours to stamp 3000 and deliver them to our Houston shop, where our guys are standing by to assemble them.
I would love nothing more than to give you a hard date but I can’t. I am being told the tool should be done this week so we may be back on track as soon as Monday. We will provide the new delivery date for the first week of April orders as soon as we receive that date. If anyone has any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us via email (admin@redrockord.com) or call us at this toll free number 1-855-776-7075. Our hours of availability are 10:30am to 5:30pm central time. There is voicemail if you don’t reach us and we will return your call within 24 hours of receiving it.
To thank everyone for sticking with us, we will include a 20% off coupon and a really cool upgrade for everyone when we ship your order. I know it isn't much but it’s something. Please everyone that has the first week of April orders contact us at above email and or phone number and we will share that cool upgrade with you.
Again, my sincerest apologizes and ‘thanks’ for hanging there with us.
Charles Clifton
Sounds like the ole Blame Game to me. Wonder if he got his cues from Obama.
Goood lord they are in over their heads.
From their FB page:
"I wanted to come here let everyone know a few things that have come up over the last few days.
There is a popular "California" firearms forum with several active threads going regarding us. Much of the discussion is negative and that's ok with us. We support active discussion good or bad and people are free to hold and express any opinions they have about us.
However... our personal information, address, phones numbers, etc, have been posted on these forums without our consent. The full name and backgrounds of some of our employees is posted. This not limited to the "California" forum but [it] seems to be home to the bulk of it.
As a result of this personal information release, we have been forced to hire an armed security manager to LIVE on the property with us 24/7. We are also receiving calls all night from Blocked numbers with threats, hang ups and other harassment. These calls wake our kids up, prevent me from getting any sleep and are making things very uneasy for all of us. We are noticing a lot traffic on our road all of a sudden. We live at the end of a dead end road, a road with only 3 homes on it. We normally have 5 cars a day make it to our gate; yesterday, an extra 12. They stop at our gate, stare at the shop and take off as soon as the see the security cameras - I expected better TEXAS.
We are about to go the route of other makers and put a "no sales to California" rule in. I feel bad for the gun owners in that State but I starting to get the idea that some of you bring it on yourselves.
I have contracted the admins of this forum in an attempt to have them speak with me about this and I have yet to receive a reply.
We all complain about the outside forces attacking our rights and making parts and firearms hard to get and too expensive. More damage has been done to us from within then the outside of this industry by orders of magnitude. We really did try to change things, and bring something to the industry that [it] was lacking. For our effort, we have been sabotaged by other manufactures, attacked by customers and non-customers, threatened and harassed by online mobs and accused of everything under the sun.
I am not sure we care enough to keep doing this after May."
What a ****ing joke.
If you bought a BCG from these people, and you still intend on following through with your order despite all this (and the FACT that there are other quality BCG's for the same price or less available), then the joke's on you.
The real issue here is that they took orders for product and didn't have the parts/stock on hand to even do the simplest of things like install gas rings.
I also have to wonder where they got the supply of Carpenter 158 steel as well. Making firearms parts and accessories isn't a cheap game. It costs alot of money.
Why anyone would even continue to keep an open order with them at this point is beyond me.
Some of the most unprofessional garbage he could have spewed to the general public. Throwing suppliers under the bus in an attempt to retain customers who signed up under the notion that parts were on hand and being assembled.
Going the "an established manufacturer sabotaged a parts order for our startup company" route is pathetic. Then follow it up with an explanation of how they plan to get their hands on the gas rings, a description of the company that will be producing them, and the transportation means for the die en route that they need to actually make them? Sounds like the "established manufacturer soboteur" has a cakewalk ahead of them to prolong delays
Their going with a supplier who does not have the equipment they need to produce the part, let alone the experience in production, should be all anyone needs to jump ship at this point.
And an armed guard? You're telling us that a rifle parts manufacturer didn't have the means to protect his person and company on site beforehand? :suicide:
Man these guys sound like a class act. I am going to order 100 BCG's from them.
What a mess. A fool and his money are soon parted.
