Opinions Please on "high end" piston models: Christensen vs LWRC...
Hello all,
I am a new to AR-15's and love the platform! I am looking for a piston driven model and have narrowed it down to either the LWRC M6A2 or the Christensen CA-15 Recon. Both 16" barrels and both chambered in 5.56/.223.
I live in NJ and both of these are legal and available (as much as "available" is these days). The LWRC is $2500.00 and the Christensen is $4500.00. Big difference in price but I have buyers for some other guns that are safe queens which can fund the Christensen, so price is not an issue right now.
My heart fell in love with the looks, and feel of the Christensen but my mind is telling me that I don't know enough about the brand. I do know that LWRC is excellent and will suit my needs (target/range/home defense).
Big question - with money not an object but assuming I can only have one, which would you choose ? Please factor in reliability, quality of components and built, fit and finish as well as looks, style and ergonomics.
Thank you all in advance.

Thanks for all the replies.
I'll carefully consider everything.

I'm looking for a piston system for the ease of maintenance ...
I have a very busy life with little time to spend cleaning/maintaining my guns. I also have young children whom I don't want climbing all over me while I have a gun laid out on the table for clueing. I basically want to shoot the carbine at the range, come home and lock it up until next time. Cleaning at a minimum.
At the same time I also want it to be a quality piece, reliable, and accurate, comfortable to shoot end also viscerally appealing to me.
That's why I was looking at a piston gun - ease of maintenance.
Thanks for all your replies. I'll keep looking !

What modifications? I thought they literally used AA complete uppers that they rebadged?
