Yes sir. Funny you ask that because I just ordered a BCM Mid length light weight yesterday. I am wondering the same thing to see how well it pairs. From what I hear, nearly 40 different uppers have been tested on it and they all pair just fine. I guess we will find out on Monday though.

The machining is indeed impressive in its execution.
Lastly, and unrelated to the above quote, this forum tends to cater toward a different segment of the firearms owner community:
Mission Statement
The purpose of M4Carbine.net is to provide a forum to share professional and technical information to the shooting community. The forum is open to military, law enforcement, and recreational shooters.
Don't bring something up if aren't willing to defend it. Nothing necessarily wrong with focusing on aesthetics or wanting to be "different", but expect to have it challenged.
Again, I in no way said that the magwell design on this lower was superior to anything else. I said the inside of the magwell was different and a lot of design went into that. Other than the inside of the magwell, I don't know of anything else that I would say is different from anything else besides the looks category. I also stated that the 7075 aluminum was heat treated to a higher standard than what is done commercially. The aluminum was heat treated to T7351 and then Alodined to Mil-spec. You mention corrosion but I don't think that's even possible with the type of aluminum used and how it was treated. Unless you let it sit in salt water for a year or so.
