If you do go down that road I may be interested in purchasing some items from you.

I feel your pain. Especially being in Colorado where the panic is in full retard mode due to the recent BS legislation passing. It is bonkers out here trying to find anything gun realted (At a good price point) really.
The only thing to do is keep your eyes peeled and buy at good prices when you are lucky enough to find it.
Or buy some at high prices if you absolutely need to and when you can find cheaper stuff; dollar cost average that shit to make yourslef feel a bit better :D
I use gunbot:

-And-
Ammoseek:
http://ammoseek.com/
To help find things, but it is usually sold out within minutes if it is a good price.
I go to wally world every morning and every evening to try and get lucky; only been lucky a few times and scored about two hundred rounds in various calibers thus far. I've made daily trips for a little over a month now to multiple Wally worlds.
I go to the local gun stores and outdoors/sporting centers once or twice a week and they sometimes have limited selection of ammo- if you're willing to pay $1.50/round for 9mm, .223/5.56, etc. Which I am not.
Sucks big time- I was trying to amp up my training for this year as I have not put near enough time into getting the training I want and need for my family, but ammo prices/unavailability have killed that off right quick.
I am in the minority here from what I've read- but I think this shortage/panic is going to last much longer than the past buying panics have. Due to several issues culminating into what I perceive as the perfect storm.
Good luck!
I have been looking at the 5.45 x 39 option too. I have some ammo to shoot, however, once that is gone I don't know how I am going to get more. Half the time the ammo is gone by the time I get the notification. I have been trying for weeks and no luck. I may have to get into bows and arrows soon:rolleyes:
