Seen this twice myself.
One of my best friends put one on himself upside down. I still rag him about that.
There is a YouTube video of a guy who claims to be a gun aficionado. In one of his videos he touts how the BC is a superior MD for controlling the rifle while firing full automatic.
During the live fire demo you can clearly see the logo facing skyward.

It's just the way the brain sees that it should be. When you put the nice logo on there, you'd expect it to go on the top.
If the smitty breaks the comp while trying to fix his own booboo then he gets to buy you a new one out of his own pocket.

Update: so he apologized about ****ing up and said he could fix it and make it right without destroying the battlecomp. So that makes me happy.
Wow. I was able to remove a BC 1.5 once but it buggered the barrel threads a little. They cleaned up with a die & I was able to re-pin and weld over it. I'm just an amateur. :jester:
I was ragged on awhile back for having a BC 2.0 on crooked, almost upside down. It was on my .22 LR..... as a thread protector.. :D
That sucks man but if your smith has any integrity at all, he should make it right. Even if he has to destroy the BC, he should buy you another to make it right. I would be pretty hot if I had that happen to me.
