HD suppressor, 14.5" pinned + micro or 12.5" + mini?
I wanted to get some thoughts from the m4carbine.net braintrust on which route to take for a dedicated HD suppressor.
Here is what I am currently thinking:
14.5" with syrac gas block and pinned muzzle brake adapter and an Ops Inc M4-S or Surefire Micro. Or, a 12.5" SBR with syrac gas block and an AAC Mini4 or Ops Inc M4-M.
Both setups should end up with about the same overall length with the suppressor attached. The SBR barrel may be slightly cheaper, but with an extra $200 for the tax stamp.
I'm not going for super stealth ninja assassin quiet, just enough to not blow out my ear drums in a hallway.

If you are looking for a factory SBR, the 6933 is nice.
10.5" all colt, and if you can get one, currently running @ $1400 NIB.
I bought a LEO demo last Dec. from a dealer out of state, and am still about a month out from even going pending according to the folks at the BATFE...
Gonna be a long summer/fall waiting for 2 Mini4a and the 6933...

Huh... I just double checked, and yup, it's 11.5. For some reason, I thought it was 10.5 when I ordered it.
But I'm getting old, and it was back in Dec when I ordered it, so I plead old timers disease....
And all the SBR's I've built so far are 10.5, so that could also be why that number is stuck in my head.
But now I'll be able to test the reliability of the 2 lengths with a mini4 on them since all my stamps SHOULD clear around the same time (Christmas the way things are going) and I have a spare breakout in my stash..
