Is anyone here running the AAC Mini4, specifically on anything shorter than 14.5? I am about to order a SCAR CQC for use as a quick-access patrol rifle for felony stops and and other 10-0 calls. I know AAC says it will not be hearing safe at that barrel length, but can any of you see major benefits with a larger (M42k) can on a setup like this.
- This rifle is secondary to a current AR rifle and will simply serve as a far superior option than a duty handgun in an emergency.
-Weight is an issue, and this thing needs to be able to be swung around in the front seat of a crown vic in a hurry.
- As stated, I don't really need "hearing-safe" (if there is such a thing in 5.56 cans) but I also don't want to be flashbanging myself everytime I pull the trigger. God forbit if It ever had to be fired from inside the vehicle. :fie:
