Awesome!

Beautiful work. Thanks for the pictures. The maker in me keeps repeating 'I'll need the gun to build the holster'.
Best wishes on the rest of the project.
Thanks so much guys... it's truly my pleasure to be able to build this gun! :)
Looking forward to seeing the next phase (and the completed work).
Beautiful craftsmanship.
I think most of us secretly wish that we possessed a skill set to do things like this, and whether or not one happens to care about squared trigger guards, it is beyond interesting to see how you've gone about bringing it into reality.
What I do respect, and I know you appreciate as well, is a customer who can define precisely what he is after, and then entrusts you to bring it to life. I'm not poking a stick at my fellow 1911 enthusiasts, but all-to-often guys just check things off on an option sheet because feature-x happens to be popular at the moment, or gizmo-y is new to the market and looks cool. I've got a lot more appreciation for a guy who can clearly articulate "Jason, I'd like for you to channel Armand Swenson a bit on this one, and am looking rather specifically for the following ..."
My sense is that you derive as much enjoyment from crafting a piece like this as we do from looking at it while in-progress. I hope you continue to feed this thread, as able.

That is fantastic, Jason!
What welding process (MIG,TIG, OA, etc)did you use?
Great to see pictures posted of this. I'm also looking forward to more postings of this build. I'm sure the Spirt of Armand Swenson is smiling over your shoulder. :)
Update with a photo of the finished product…
