Always nice to have a back up. Never know who might want to go to the range with you and learn about ARs.

As others have pointed out, you answered your own question. The DD is set up the way you want it.
If you are still considering the Colt, check the BCG. It is likely not the FA version. The serial number is early in the series and likely precedes later models that have the FA carrier.
I know Rainier Arms makes pretty good stuff but does this rifle not stack up to the DD rifle?

It sure looks like a great deal, B5 stock, ambi selector, raptor CH, Rev rail, Magpul grip, Diamond sights and a Rainier comp. All for $1495
Like I said, I don't know much about Rainier Arms but that sure seems like a lot of rifle for that price. Sorry OP, not trying to derail your thread but I just thought this looked like a pretty dang good deal.
How does Rainier stack up to DD or BCM?
@48J - what do you mean by FA carrier?

Get the DDM4 V7 LW, doesnt get much lighter than that for a 16 inch.
If you plan on putting an Aimpoint Red Dot Sight on your rifle in the future. You might consider this package from G&R Tactical for an extra $109.

DD all the way.
.
DD and don't look back.
You will appreciate it more and come to realize "why" if you keep reading on this forum.
That G&R deal is pretty sweet from a reliable dealer.
If you keep learning, you'll probably end up with an Aimpoint eventually anyway.
But maybe it's just me....
.
If you're going to get a DDM4v7, def get that one from GRT.
