That's not a bad deal, currently using a Leupold Mark AR Mod1 with fire dot SPR reticle, but I could sell that aimpoint and put it towards some ammo :)

Almost there....
Sell the Aimpoint Micro AND the Leupold and buy an Aimpoint Micro T-1.
GRT "might" work something out trading up to a T-1????
Then, life will be good...temporarily...after you get some ammo and then maybe buis's, sling, mags, ...??
Remember to not put cheap components on that DD or late one quiet night you'll hear that DD dry heaving.
But maybe it's just me...
.
I just picked up my DDm4 V7LW last week. The V5 was lonely. Havent had the chance to shoot it yet. But it is a nice gun. And it is definitley light and balanced well. I think its a good choice.
No. Brainer.
as long as we're talking about a rifle with an MFR, anyone have any experience with heat buildup in the MFR? seems like the vent holes are relatively tiny compared to other forearms.
i had rapid heating with a solid tube and i've been leery of anything that's not practically skeletal ever since. but the MFR's pedigree and price make me keep considering it...
I've had the DDM4 V7 LW since last October. Very happy. I am not an expert, but it has worked over the last 500 rounds flawlessly. Light. I am leaving it very simple. VTAC Sling, Hand stop, Surefire, Aimpoint H1. Love it. Just need ammo so I can train more.
I know PSA isn't in the same category as the DD, but this is a pretty damn good deal. Full rifle, Midwest rail, and Aimpoint PRO for $1079. Depending on your end use for the gun, this would give you a good gun and optic out of the box, and then you could put the extra $400 into ammo and training.
I have a PSA build as a back up rifle and it has been great so far.

In case you haven't decided yet go with the DD. and if you can get it from grant that is a bonus. Both are great companies and worth your money.
Another vote for the DDM4 through G&R, that is a hell of a price to include an awesome optic that already comes with a mount...
I've got a DD V7 and Aimpoint Pro and it's a great combo. I'd saved a bunch buying it from Grant, but the package wasn't around when I bought mine.
