Noveske. Have you tried another upper of similar weight and balance on that lower?

I have one on my Noveske Light Recce and it functions fine. I elected to use the VLTOR iMod stock I had on it previously. You lose the shortest stock position as a result of the rifle-length buffer tube, which isn't a problem for me at least.
I did email Noveske to make sure that it would work with my rifle. I was told by Todd K. that all Noveske uppers are designed to work with rifle-length receiver extensions.
Yes and no. Nothing apples to apples. But I shot a two in particular that should have been worse. Was able to remove ammo from it by using the same.
I think it might be a couple things. Not least of which is that I suck. But sticking strictly to gear because I had other shooters compare their guns to mine, it's got to predominately be that I'm running a flash hider vs a brake.
That's soon to be fixed! But still, I'm having trouble figuring that this gun with an A5H2 and A5H3 is running softer than if I were to switch out and put the non-A5 parts back in! It's noticeably rough right now, I can't imagine it getting worse!
As for stocks on the A5... there are two A5 tubes: The RE-A5 (original A5 system) and the RE-10/A5SR "short rail" tube.
The original tube (RE-A5) was designed to use the Vltor EMOD stock and works well with similar longerish stocks like the Magpul ACS.
The A5SR "short rail" tube has the lock pin holes located to work better with a GI M4 style stock and works better with traditionally sized stocks like the Vltor IMOD and Magpul MOE/CTR/STR stocks.
It does...
The "short" rail RE AKA AR10 RE means the LOP is shorter, so shorter stocks can lock up on the position closest to the lower when the stock is collapsed. In other words, the 6 holes machined as stops are closer together and farther out towards the end of the tube away from the receiver extension when compared with the 7 holes that are more equally spaced on the regular A5 RE that requires a longer stock to be able to accept the additional tube length and close on the hole closest to the lower... confused yet?
Nope. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy. Thanks
