I'm having a heck of a time locating gas key screws. I've found some of the screws marked YRS (?) on the heads. I'm looking for the unmarked screws with thicker head walls. Thanks in advance.

McMaster-Carr- Socket Head Cap Screw (Gas Key) 8-32 x ¼ Part No. 91251A190
Thank you, sir.
It's a Bolt Carrier Key, not a Gas Key...;)
Gunz - The fastener you referenced has a 9/64 socket. The Colt/FN variant has a 1/8 socket and they are unobtanium.
Looks like Brownell's has them in stock: Socket Head Cap Screw

I would gues by mentioning the thicker wall you want the 1/8" drive socket screw. They are called 1936 series screws. Here is a link to some import ones. They used to carry the US made ones by Brighton Best. You might google that name and find some US ones at another vendor.

The screw on the arsenal print has the 1/8 socket not because it's a '36 Series, but because that's what they spec'd out, along with very specific requirements on the knurl-- that it should be a certain pitch and depth (51 and .013 I think), and not too rounded or chamfered at the top.
I'm with Gunz, I never found a downside to using industry standard screws with the 9/64 socket.... as long as it's a brand that has a manly knurl and is not super-roundy at the top of the head.
