It has been my experience that the difference that an A5 makes with KAC uppers with intermediate gas systems is minimal, although I've only tried it on KAC 14.5" and mod 0.
I'm interested to hear your thoughts.
My 11.5 Christmas Cheer barreled upper runs like a top with the A5. The unknown for me is how it would run suppressed, as I don't own a suppressor. It's been 100% with all sorts of different ammo, very controllable for a shorty. I haven't tried to run any steel cased ammo through it except for Hornady, which runs great in all my rifles.

I'm sure its a matter of time before we start seeing factory implementation but if anyone comes to mind as the first to vett this system as an OEM it's KAC.
Get out of my head man! I would be very curious to see how a suppressed 16" SR15 upper would do with the A5. I suspect that the A5 may add some measure of reliability across the spectrum of suppressed / unsuppressed with varying ammo. I think that could be the case because it's generally true with the A5 on a wide variety of barrel lengths and gas system lengths. Unfortunately I don't have a suppressor to test the theory. What buffer are you running on those setups with the A5?
