Sorry bud... I just noticed this. That would be awesome. Looking forward to it. Im particularly curious about their differences in thickness on the main body and the thumb/top area.

I haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet, but my initial impression is that the K2 isn't going to be comfortable for me because of the pronounced "ridge" along the bottom of the thumb groove. It seems to put pressure on the meaty part of my palm at the base of my thumb and feels like it's going to create a sore spot after prolonged use. I've never seen the Umbrella Corp. grip in person, but just from the photos above, the more rounded bottom edge on their thumb / index finger groove looks more comfortable to me. Anyway, I going to get a BCM Mod 3 and try that out for comparison. I find the Mod 1 to be pretty comfortable but would like it to fill my hand a little better, so the Mod 3 might be just right for me personally.

I had a chance to compare the K2 with Grip 23.
I wear small glove size and the more rounded shape of the UCWRG grip feels more firm than the more rectangular K2.
Mostly, though, I found to the indent on the top of the back of the K2 uncomfortable. I felt like my hand needed to pivot on that point of the K2 to fill the extra space above the backstrap with the web of my hand. Overall the G23 allows me a more sure feeling grip.
If I had bigger hands the K2 might feel better.
Oh, the weights:
K1: 2.0oz w/o bolt
G23: 2.35oz w/o bolt
K2: 2.45oz w/o bolt
MOE: 2.55oz w/o bolt
MOE+: 3.25oz w/o bolt
I wear small glove size. I just got a k2 today (aim surplus sent the wrong color, oh well). I like it slightly better than the BCM mod1. Haven't tried the umbrella grip.
I don't think it's worth ditching bcm grips for the k2, but I think it's worth buying over a bcm if you need a new grip.
The side texture on the k2 is surprisingly very grippy.
I have had and used both the BCM Mod 3 and the Magpul K2 grips. I like the K2 grip just a little more than the Mod 3 grip only because that is my preference . IMHO, it is like comparing the Raptor charging handle to the BCM Gunfighter CH, both are excellent products, its just about your personal preference.
The bump is what allows positive hand index and the more vertical angle without compromising trigger reach geometry. The front being thinner than the trigger guard ears sounds entirely abnormal. I've been running one for a few months and have not seen that in any of the test installations. Hmmm.
I think I'd prefer if it was less pronounced.
I have two K2's and they're both the same. I've seen the same ridges in other pics on the net. Below are mine and both trigger guard ears are wider than the grip. Yet, if you compare a K2 and a Moe face to face, you'll see the Moe is wider and doesn't suffer from this.

Mine are like that too. That's a better way to explain it than I did.
