Noveske Barrel VERY tight in upper receiver
I was putting a Noveske barrel into Noveske stripped upper and it was extremely tight. I hit it with a rubber mallet a few times and seated it just fine but it was about a 5min process getting the barrel seated in the receiver (i put a layer of SLIP EWL over the extension to try to facilitate the process but it was still pretty difficult). A friend suggested using a lapping tool... I didn't think this was a good suggestion. What is the general consensus on these? Necessary? Any performance advantages?

Had to do the same thing with a barrel in a Vltor VIS
