Which of the two, PSA or CMMG, makes the better LPK? (A local store has a good deal on either one). I wouldn't be using the trigger as I already have a Geissele SSA.

PSA by a long shot. Better reputation.
From what I have seen they are both good to go if your not using the FCG. Not that the FCG's in either are beyond salvage, they can be tuned into a 5 lb smooth trigger with minimal polishing and JP springs.
I have a PSA LPK, haven't had any problems with it so far, but I haven't put a crazy amount of rounds through it yet, only about 2k.
Between the two, I'd choose PSA. CMMG safety detent springs are typically out of spec (long), and make for a stiff safety selector. I haven't had any issues with PSA, and have a CMMG lower that I took the safety detent spring out and cut a 1/8" or 3/16" off of to make the safety a little smoother. The trigger in a CMMG is a little better, but all GI triggers are hit or miss. Get an LPK minus the FCG from PSA and get an ALG FCG and you'll be happy.
If I had to choose. It would be PSA.
C4
I've seen/encountered bad parts from both. Neither would be my first choice. However, based on recent experience PSA would win over CMMG.
Short of paying through the nose for Colt parts and with there still being limited availability off-the-shelf for DD or other quality kits, the DPMS small parts I've used have actually been good.
PSA
I've had several kits with no issues
I would choose the not CMMG one, so I guess PSA.
PSA, hands down.
I had their LPK in my last build and it was quality stuff.
+2 on PSA. I've used them a few times with no issues.
I have a couple of thousand rounds through my sample of one CMMG LPK with no problems. It recently got moved from one lower to another and still good. That being said, I would probably go PSA based off of recent reputation if I were buying now. Assuming you can't wait for Grant to restock.
I have used 3 of PSA's LPK's with their standard FCG's with absolutely 0 issues yet. I have ran 3,600 rds through one of my builds and 3,120 through another build, and reliability has been excellent. I would pick the PSA LPK over the CMMG LPK anyday.
Seems pretty overwhelming. PSA it is. Obviously, as I said before, it's going to be the trigger-less kit as I already have the SSA.
I would spend a bit extra money and get a spikes kit but I would go PSA over CMMG also
PSA. Excellent quality for near nothing prices, buy it now during a sale and get a free stock and buffer tube lol
PSA's turn around time is a turn off for me. Takes a few weeks to get your LPK right now:(
