It's totally an HK416! It has just had it's upper receiver, rail, gasblock, and piston switched out for POF parts.
Only honest explanation that I can think of is that someone is confused between an "HK 416" and a "POF P416."
Great advertisement for Asymmetric Solutions in the AR GD area.
Actually it's not. There are some clearly-definable features that show it not to be. Knowing "The Operator" is a ridiculous thing to say. Why not just say you know the guy?
The upper shown in the video is clearly a POF. We're not saying he lied...that would require intent. We're just saying he's mistaken. I'll bet if you call him up and ask, he'll probably agree that it's a POF. That would make more sense than arguing a loosing battle on the internet.
It's hereby stipulated that it was some sort of fully-automatic AR pattern gun, and that folks should stop vapor-locking on something that's NOT central to the matter.
Coulda been a heavily-modded Nerf gun, for all I care...it's the ACT that was being spoken to, not the item.
I suppose it's human nature to turn a "I just got to shoot a select fire M4 for the first time and here's the details" thread into an anal critique of the abbreviation preceding the 416.
It's a POF. Now that the internet has righted this wrong, let's get back to the point of this thread.
