Incorrect. You still get KAC rail panels with the Troy rail.

That's cool. I looked all over the rails for the Troy logo but there was nothing evident, only a patent number.
(Final) update.
Well, brought it home today. This is the "2013 Configuration", but I did notice that the rails on this one differed slightly from the other SOCOM in the case. I understand that these are Troy rails, though. Came with the one Colt-marked mag and four rail covers:

While I agree the basic Colt is great buy... I beg to ask why anyone is opting for non free float version M4s (aside from collector which is meaningless to me) and paying a premium for them is beyond me.
At this point in the game there are too many competitors that offer quality and upgrades for the same price as these Colt Troy mod rifles. I like my colts but if buying today I would grab a DD with floated rails or whatever if my budget was $1400-1500ish or maybe LMT whatever. $1500 still buys a lot of rifle if you stay away from gun shows.
Pretty sure that's the KAC rail. The Troy rail has QD sling points. If you flip it over and look on the ejection-port side of the gun it should say "Knights Armament" directly on the rail.
You got a KAC rail.
Sounds good, although from what I'd heard, this "2013 Configuration" featured Troy rails.
I'm an old iron sight guy and this is my first railed weapon. Are these rail covers all supposed to slide on without having to remove the rail from the rifle? The accompanying manual says zero about rails or BUIS.
