I shoot trap and my trap gun has some chicken scratch on it, my father's Franchi AL48 Hunter's model has an entire scene engraved on one side. I don't see these tubes as being any different. I don't see myself ever running one, but some it may be the thing that they want for one reason or the other. I have a BCM build which has all OD green furniture on it, does that fact make it a lesser rifle because I am running full on OD green everything I can? Obviously there is a market for the things, people like to be different and have something that is original, its human nature. Besides, if the rifle is getting the attention of those who want to dress one up at a presentation piece I would say that is a good thing for the AR market, at least looking at history and the presentation pieces that we see today in museums.
