Yes you do but you can change caliber and barrel length once you get your stamp. Its an easybform to filk out that most dont even bother with. Once its and sbr its an sbr.
Has anyone had any issues on the "Certify" and final submission page? I've already paid for the stamp and received an e-mail confirmation. When I hit the "Sign & Submit" button, a pop-up appears asking for my password, and once I type that in and hit OK, it does something for maybe 15-20 seconds and then takes me back to the main screen where you can select & start a new form.
On the left under "My Forms" is "DRAFT" and when you hit the "+" it shows "Form 1" and on the main screen it shows my form with today's "Created Date", but the "Submitted Date" and "Finalized Date" are both blank and it will still let me Edit or Delete the Form 1.
I've tried submitting the Form 1 using both Internet Explore 9 (in comparability mode), Chrome, and Safari on my iPhone.
Does this seem correct? Is there somewhere else to look and see that the Form 1 was properly received and actually filed???
Got it done this morning using An older computer with Internet Explore version 8. FWIW, Nothing else newer would work for me.
I meant to add that the "permit/control" number on my application was 2013192xxx. I'm not sure if each type of "Form" has it's own number series or if this is for all applications they receive, but either way, it looks like the number of NFA applications so far this year will surpass last year's record high numbers by at least 2 or 3-fold. Assuming most of these are $200 taxable transfers, that's at least $40 million in new tax stamp revenue.
