Anyone find they zero better with a larger target?
Like a silhouette or similar? As I've gotten older (48) my once > 20/20 vision has slipped a notch or two. I find when zeroing, especially with irons, that I have a "wandering" zero from group to group. Eventually I nail it down but it takes too damn long!
I use the 50yd IBSZ and was using a 6 inch Shoot-n-See target. The Aimpoint isn't too bad as it's relatively simple---dot in center, squeeze. But the irons are farked up 5 ways from Sunday! The front sight post isn't quite as clear as it used to be and is nearly as wide as the target, and the fuzzy rear sight aperture is getting harder to consistently center the FSP in. Didn't use to have this problem. :(
So, I've decided to go to a silhouette target and zero center mass. It should be easier for me to naturally find the center of something larger than the aperture itself as opposed to trying to focus on a 6" circle well inside the "ring" .
Anyone else run into a similar issue?

I just have a buddy sit there with binos and waste a ton of ammo. Zeroing is a bitch for me, must be doing it wrong.
