With two of my D&H mags the bolt is locking back before the last round is fired, consistently. I found though, that darker grey one was doing it less.
What could be causing this? I cannot find it in a search.

Is there BAD lever or similar device on lower? Just tossing out idea.**EDIT--ignore post
Any insight?
I think I just mark these two, and try some more of my mags.
You will need to use a known good magazine to isolate the malfunction to the weapon. D&H is huge clue. I'm betting the magazines are bad.
What are the specs on the gun? I was using a carbine buffer with a BCM 16inch carbine upper and had a few mags that would do the same thing. I changed to the standard A5 and have never had another issue.
Might not hurt to look at the notch on the back of the magazine bodies where the bolt stop rides.
I had some 20LRs that weren't notched enough and the stop dragged on the BCG.
Take the spring and follower out of the mags in question. Take the upper off. Insert the mag body and see if it touches the bolt hold open at all.
If you do not know hot to dissassemble the mags, consult the internet for the proper technique. DO NOT TRY AND BEND THE 4 TABS.
You can separate the lower. Load one spent piece of brass in the mag. Insert it into the lower. Move the mag around and make sure there's clearance around the bolt stop. Easier than pulling the mag apart.
So, I changed the bolt catch, the entire upper is different, and got an A5 and this problem still occurs only with this AR. I used the same mags in a class with my other carbine, with the same specs actually, and it does not happen.
It only happens with D&H mags not my PMAGS, I think.
What the hell is going on? Just random?
Did you try what I suggested above?
