Are PSA branded AR parts good enough?
Now that the market is starting to calm down a bit most on-line dealers are starting to run sales on AR parts and magazines. That said PSA Armory has been advertising good prices on LPK's, Lower and Upper striped receivers, barrels and other items. I have also seen what appears to be really good deals on items which PSA calls cosmetic blem's, while PSA does not list what the blem's maybe in the most recent advertisement I received many end users report that they can not identify what the blem is.
So the question is are PSA Lowers and uppers which are made of forged 7075-T6, Black Hard coat Anodize per MIL-8625 Type 3 class 2 of the same caliber as those made by Colt and BCM?
Also since FN makes most of PSA's barrels I would assume they are GTG but there has been some question on who makes their Classic LPK's which they claim are U.S. made but offer no manufacturing details as to materials used in its construction.
So if one were going to build a rifle from parts a lone (Please no buy a complete Colt or BCM and be done with it replies) is PSA quality good enough for a serious use rifle?
