They were not doing this a year ago. Great to see a company already at the top continuing to improve.
Thanks for continuing to update this thread, Greg. Very nice 1911.

Why not use Wilsons own products to lube the gun? That's why they are there for. shooting a gun just to "break it" makes no sense to me, and I hate to clean the damn things!
I am using Wilson's lube.
been keeping tabs on this thread since it started, it eventually pushed me in the direction of Wilson for my first semi custom 1911. Now i have an XTAC on order with george from gunslingers and the wait time is KILLING me. Oh well thanks for keeping me busy in the mean time lol.
https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7291/...dd136e15_b.jpg200 rounds downrange this week. All extremely overpriced 230 grain Blazer Aluminum. No issues. The Wilson , in the words of my shooting buddy, "is a damn laser gun."
I am, hopefully, going to be attending a class with Ken Hackathorn in April. I am going to need 800 rounds for the class. If you have any freaky rounds you want me to try send them to me and I will shoot them in the Hack Class. No insane reloads!
I have attended his class before and I can tell you, Ken is THE man. He knows more about grip screws than some, heavily advertised, trainers know about shooting. Frankly, I would go to his class just to listen.

Au contraire! That is the absolute best time to do so. I try to have my most embarrassing malfunctions in public and, preferably, under pressure. LOL
