Since P-Mags came out my USGI and others have been collecting dust. Pmags have worked great for me and everyone else that I have heard from. I think you can feel safe picking up some Pmags for the long haul.

PMAGs will be around long after your grandchitlens become dust. The AR's might not be around then either, but hundreds of thousands of PMAGS will be around. :DQuote:

um yeah. i just tried putting a PMag in my Kydex mag pouch.
guess what?
perfect fit!!!! i really think i did try to put it in backwards the first time i tried it. no joke.
i guess PMags really are the end all be all. i can't find any faults (other than the dustcovers from 20s and 30s aren't interchangeable....but now i really am nitpicking)
I know what you're saying about the pmags. I do have one and it has impressed me immensly. First of all the floorplate retaining system is what these mags should have had in the first place. And its nice how they don't hav a bunch of opening to allow dirt in. Plus, I have found that they are easy to load and unload by hand. Can't say the same about my aluminum ones. My only concern was how the polymer would last and it looks like I don't have to worry about that now(can't believe I forgot about glocks being around for this many years and are still fine).
Magpul PMAGS are all that you need unless you'd like some variety. They will last an extremely long time unless you abuse them or try to crush them deliberately.
FWIW, I've heard a lot of more knowledgeable folks than me say that magazines are considered an expendable commodity and should not really be considered "long haul" items.
PMAGS - Good!
I should really sell the HK mags as all I use are the PMAGs these day. Those HKs get heavy.
I have USGI's, Lancer L5's, and P-mags. I have not had any issues with any of them, but when you hold, load, shoot all three the p-mags seem to be the most robust, and have the best followers. This is JMO, but I'll only buy p-mags from now on, and actually I'm trying to sell 2 unused L5's just because I like the p-mags better. Not stepping on any of the others, just personal preference.
Not to add insult to injury, but the dust covers on my 20 and 30 Pmags interchange with no problem. Maybe I'm just livin' right or something ;)
Correction - the dust covers from the 20's will fit the 30's. The dust covers from the 30's will fit the 20's if you notch the latching surface.
